"My mission is simple: to ensure that every woman and girl in our community feels safe, seen, and empowered."
Under the leadership of the ISAI MAHASANGH (IMS), we are committed to:
Breaking the Silence: We stand with survivors of domestic violence, offering them the legal tools and courage to rebuild their lives.
Investing in the Future: We believe an educated girl is a transformed community. We bridge the gap for families who cannot afford schooling.
Protecting Our Spaces: We monitor our schools and institutions to ensure they remain sanctuaries of growth, free from bias or mistreatment.
Standing Tall Against Injustice: When our community faces targeted pressure, IMS is your voice. We do not retreat in the face of oppression; we fight for our safety and our faith.
Honoring Our Elders: Our senior women are our foundation, and we are dedicated to ensuring their golden years are met with care and respect.

Salma Francis — A Voice for Women, Justice, and Social Transformation
Salma Francis is a committed social activist, social entrepreneur, and community leader with more than three decades of dedicated grassroots experience in women’s empowerment, urban transformation, child rights, and inclusive community development. Through her visionary leadership and compassionate approach, she has consistently worked to create safe, dignified, and equitable spaces for marginalized women, youth, vulnerable families, and women in highly vulnerable situations, including survivors of exploitation and sex workers striving for dignity and social inclusion.
Believing strongly in the principles of feminism rooted in equality, dignity, and opportunity, she advocates for women not only as beneficiaries of development but as powerful decision-makers and change leaders within society. Her work focuses on strengthening women’s voices, promoting economic independence, leadership participation, rehabilitation support, and protection from discrimination, exploitation, and violence.
As the Founder President of Vision for Oasis Waves Society (VOWS), she has led numerous initiatives addressing gender justice, child protection, skill development, rehabilitation and livelihood support for marginalized women, including sex workers seeking safer and dignified life opportunities, along with urban community empowerment. Her programs emphasize awareness, legal literacy, education, and collective leadership so that women can claim their rights with confidence and self-respect.
For Salma Francis, feminism is not merely a concept but a lived practice, ensuring that every woman, regardless of background or circumstance, has equal access to safety, opportunity, recognition, and the possibility of rebuilding her life with dignity. Her mission continues to inspire communities to move towards compassion, inclusion, and sustainable social change.
